How It Works

Open to dispensary staff

The event is for staff of dispensaries that carry Lowell or Layup products. A portion of teams will be allocated to the budtender lottery and a portion allocated by our sponsoring brands. We're also inviting select Hudson Valley growers to exhibit and showcase flower from this year's harvest.

Step One

Enter the Lottery

Register your two-person team by September 30. Winners chosen in Early October — lottery winners pay $25/person (invited guests pay $50/person). *All proceeds go to our charity partner the Last Prisoner Project.

Step Two

Play the Course

Full shotgun start across all 18 holes. Morning nine at 10:30, lunch at The Grove with live music at 12:30 — choose cornhole or afternoon golf.

Step Three

Support a Cause

Every ticket goes to the Last Prisoner Project — sponsors cover the cost of the day, so 100% of your entry frees people still incarcerated for cannabis offenses.

The Vision

New York's Cannabis Community on the Course

A day for New York's cannabis insiders to convene, connect, and celebrate the season.

The Croptober Cup is a gathering for the people who make New York's cannabis industry run — the budtenders, buyers, growers, and brand teams who work the counters, stock the shelves, and cultivate the product day in and day out.

This is a day to set down the work and enjoy a round of golf, a game of cornhole, a meal from The Grove, and a chance to meet some of our favorite growers from around the Hudson Valley. We're inviting select growers to exhibit and showcase flower from this year's harvest.

Their laid-back acoustic sound pairs perfectly with a sunny afternoon on the course, delivering soulful harmonies and crowd-pleasing favorites in an easygoing, conversation-friendly setting under the shaded tent.

Based in the Saratoga Springs area, Owen and Liam have been playing together for years at venues across New York. Their music is all about good vibes, warm harmonies, and connecting with the crowd.

Weather & What to Wear

Late October in the Hudson Valley is cool and changeable. Expect a high near 55°F and a morning low in the mid-40s. It can feel considerably colder on the course before the sun is up and while you're moving between holes, so plan for a cool start.

Dress in layers you can shed as it warms. A base layer, a sweater or fleece, and a windproof outer layer work well. Bring a hat and gloves for the morning nine — the first few holes are the coldest. Comfortable footwear matters more than style; the course can be damp.

Plan for the chance of rain — October averages about 4 inches in this area, so it's a real possibility. Bring rain gear and an umbrella. The event runs rain or shine, and there's covered seating under the tent for lunch and the cornhole tournament.

Golf & Format

Two-person scramble. Full shotgun start across 18 holes. Morning 9, lunch, afternoon 9.

Yes — bring your own clubs and your A-game. Rentals aren't offered so we keep the field to experienced players and keep the pace moving. If you are not an experienced golfer, please consider entering into the cornhole tournament.

Charity

100% of ticket proceeds go to Last Prisoner Project — our sponsors cover event costs, so every entry is a donation that frees people incarcerated for cannabis offenses.
